FINALLY... an update! Christmas morning was very quiet at our house this year, we skyped with my parents in the morning as they watched Declan open his gifts... that was great! So nice for them to part of Christmas morning with us. Our tree this year was a mini version of our usual, between Andrew being away and the hub bub of the holidays, we ( Declan & I) did manage to decorate this mini tree, he loved putting on the ornaments and it only fell over once :)
After we opened our gifts, we headed out to Randy & Marilyn's where we spent the rest of day and enjoyed a yummy Christmas dinner with Andrew's grandma as well. Declan loved playing in the snow and checking out the horses. We bought him this little toboggan which has also been a big hit! Way easier to pull our 35lb boy then carry him when he is too tuckered to walk. Check out those big red rosy cheeks after coming inside, he just loves being out with Andrew playing in the snow or just helping him shovel, he is definitly his daddy's boy, Andrew's little shadow... so sweet.
That was about it for Christmas... New Year's was just as quiet, I think I was in bed by 9 and Andrew about 10:30, so things have certainly slowed down this year for us. I have stopped working and am now 35 weeks along, baby is doing well and we are anxiously awaiting his arrival. Declan is doing great! He surprises us everyday with new things and keeps us laughing all the time, he is truly a joy and we feel extremely blessed to have such a wonderful little boy. We will keep everyone posted as best we can on #2's arrival and we wish everyone a healthy and happy 2011!!!! xoxo
