HOMEMADE BLIZZARDS...
Andrew came up with the delicious idea for us to make homemade blizzards for desert one night! The boys were right in there scooping and adding the goodies into the blender. They were sooo good and fun for the kids to make it themselves... YUMMY!
COOKING 101...
Been trying a few new recipes lately and these seem to have gone over relatively well with the boys... the breakfast egg quiches were great, even the next day I cut them up, threw in some more cheese, just because :) and put it all in a warm tortilla for breakfast, D & L gobbled them up! Fairly easy recipe...
- 4 eggs
- a little milk
- graded cheese
- cut up veggies, you could even put in some rice or quinoa
- Mix all together and poor into muffin cup and bake until set at 350, I did find them a tad watery when I took them out, not sure why, which was a little frustrating but they still tasted great after pressing out the water.
The next one is a granola bar substitute (chocolate granola bars). I am trying to take out some of the processed snacks for us and this one was pretty good! Very easy and no baking makes it a quick and easy snack for all of us! I have this recipe ( I think the egg one as well ) on my Pinterest so if you click on the Pinterest link (on the left of our blog under the blog archive) and go my name at the top right click and look for the boards then click on that and go to the "good eats" board. Lots of other recipes too!
